Milestones of progress: the creation of Test Track 4

28 July 2025

In the heart of innovative Sharjah, where the future and technology intertwine in a single impulse, uSky Transport has erected a unique track structure — Test Track 4. This 2.4-kilometer route, utilizing rail-string technology, not only showcases the capabilities of modern transport but also sets a new standard for safety, sustainability, and elegance in motion. The project has already become a living legend, combining progressive solutions with harmony for nature, as evidenced by the extensive civil works at its stations.

Construction began with the installation of massive anchor units, which serve as a reliable foundation for the entire structure. The next phase involved setting up intermediate supports, which underwent rigorous testing and received approval from the international organization SWTUV Certifications, ensuring the highest reliability and safety under extreme loads.

One of the key technical achievements was the tensioning of specialized rail strands — an operation requiring precise synchronization and control. The installation of the string-rail structure employed cutting-edge engineering solutions, while the lifting and securing of the structure became a true feat of technological artistry.

The quality of welded joints, a critical safety element, was confirmed through successful testing, while electrical tests and scanning of the entire track ensure compliance with the strictest standards. Special attention was also given to the certification of the rectifier, which underwent independent verification by SWTUV Certifications.

Behind the scenes of tomorrow’s transport: Test Track 4 сonstruction overview

The innovative uBus Carat became the star of the project. It not only successfully passed static and dynamic tests but also achieved a speed of 120 km/h for the first time, demonstrating smooth operation and an almost weightless sensation for passengers. Control systems, interfaces, as well as charging and energy-saving systems, were meticulously debugged and tested under real-world conditions.

The project's environmental aspects were carefully considered: architectural solutions allow stations and supports to blend into the natural landscape, minimizing the impact on the environment. The use of energy-efficient technologies and innovative materials underscores uSky Transport's commitment to sustainable development and harmonious coexistence with nature.

Test Track 4 in motion: a bird’s-eye view of innovation

Test Track 4 has attracted over 400 international visitors, including representatives from the UAE Ministry of Defense, delegations from RTA Dubai, Sharjah Airport Authority, as well as officials from Nepal, Gabon, and Hong Kong. This reflects the high level of international interest and recognition for the innovations of uSky Transport & Infrastructure Technology.
